Christian Pulisic forced to exit Man City game early after suffering injury (it’s not his nuts this time)

Christian Pulisic had to be substituted out in the first half of Chelsea’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City on Thursday after picking up an injury. The Pulisic injury happened in the 16th minute when John Stones put in a perfect tackle to deny the American a clean shot on goal.

Pulisic tried to continue playing but was replaced by Carney Chukwuemeka in the 22nd minute.

As of now it’s unclear what Pulisic hurt but it looks to be a leg injury. His expected return date is unknown until it’s looked at further.

Injuries have haunted the 24-year-old’s young career. Here’s a list of his serious injuries in the last three years.

Wednesday was a night to forget for Chelsea fans as Pulisic wasn’t the only one to come out with an injury. Raheem Sterling left the game less than five minutes in after a challenge from Stones. Sterling was grabbing at his hamstring and was replaced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

City’s lone goal came in the 63rd minute courtesy of Riyad Mahrez after a perfect ball from Jack Grealish.

Chelsea will have to play City again on Sunday in EFL Cup action. The injury woes run deep with the Blues.
