Arsenal's FA Cup Celebrations: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

In the dying embers of Arsenal’s FA Cup victory over Aston Villa, fans cheered on the Gunners for becoming the most successful club in the competition after they secured their twelfth win. However, Arsenal made headlines for a lot of other reasons aside from the four goals they put past Villa at Wembley.

The Good:

Prince William could not have been more right when he said he was nervous about how the match would play out as his beloved Aston Villa took on Arsenal. When everyone thought Arsenal would finish at 3 goals, Olivier Giroud put the icing on the cake when he scored the fourth and final goal in added time. Wenger’s back-to-back wins in FA Cup finals can give Arsenal supporters more hope for keeping the Frenchman at the club. This match was won  in true Arsenal fashion as they cruised to their twelfth English cup victory.

The Bad:

As the celebrations continued into the dressing room, Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta asked their chief-executive Ivan Gazidis what their bonuses would be for the final win. Like all smart businessmen, he replied by saying their bonus was the victorious feeling they felt inside. It was all in good fun as the squad booed him, casually laughing it off.

The Ugly:

During the parade around London, Jack Wilshere shared some personal thoughts with the thousands of watching fans who gathered in the London streets. And just like his performance this season, it was pretty ugly for what he has been acclaimed to be. Wilshere chanted, “What do we think of Tottenham? S***!” and “What do we think of s***? Tottenham!”.  If you’re an Arsenal or Chelsea supporter tune in to the video, but if you support Tottenham, you may want to look the other way.
