Argentine First Division striker Walter Bou scored one of the most outrageous goals of the year on Sunday, hitting the back of the net with a last-minute bicycle kick from outside the box to give his club the three points.

In the 88th minute, with Lanús and Tigre tied 2-2, a long ball to Bou at the edge of the 18-yard box, controlled with his chest, ended in an incredible acrobatic goal. The ball never touched the ground.

The 30-year-old’s fantastic goal has since become viral on social media, with fans exclaiming the Argentine win the 2024 Puskás Award for best goal of the year.

We will only have to wait and find out if Bou makes the contender cut for the FIFA award ceremony, set to take place later this year.
