Sparks flew at halftime during the Swansea vs. Birmingham match when Swans first-team coach Alan Tate appeared to reach for a player’s throat and shove him to the ground. The victim of Tate’s WWE impression was Birmingham’s Jon Toral. The admin for Birmingham’s Twitter account only fanned the flames by posting the incident.

It’s unclear what words of wisdom Toral directed at Tate, but it was clearly enough to get a reaction out of the Swansea legend. If it was a threat said then in the words of Denzel Curry, Tate doesn’t take kindly to threats.
One thing that is for sure is that Toral has never seen Swansea’s greatest video: Don’t Fuck With The Swans
Neither Tate nor Toral faced any discipline from the referee for their halftime antics. There could be punishments doled out in the near future.
The near-choke slam was the most exciting moment of the match as it finished scoreless. While no goals were produced from the match, a new meme template has been born.
