Manchester United are inching closer to signing Sporting Portugal manager Rúben Amorim in place of fired head coach Erik ten Hag. Red Devils fans have noticed something interesting about their new potential new boss… he sounds quite similar to Cristiano Ronaldo.
In a viral video posted to Twitter, a fan noticed the voice pattern and Portuguese accent of Amorim is immediately recognizable. In fact, all someone has to do is close their eyes and imagine who is talking to hear the Ronaldo similarity.

For reference, here is what CR7 sounds like when speaking English.
What do you think? Does Amorim sound like Ronaldo or are we just hearing things?
Amorim isn’t officially the new manager of Manchester United, however reports say that it’s close to being a done deal. The 39-year-old retired from playing in 2017 and has managed Sporting Portugal for nearly five years.
Manchester United and Sporting are again in direct contact today about 30 day notice period for Rúben Amorim.

He’s won two league titles with the club and has led them to a flying start in the Primeira Liga this season with nine wins from nine games, 30 goals scored and only two conceded. Amorim is also undefeated in the Champions League after three games with two wins and a draw.
Will he finally be the man to turn things around for Manchester United?
