The Americans With The Most Goals In The History Of The Premier League

It’ll come as a surprise to many, but since the Premier League’s inaugural 1992-93 season, 22 American footballers have gone on to score in England's top division. Sure, only eight of them have managed more than two goals, but we’re also the only nation to have had two goalkeepers score in the EPL. There’s no surer sign of a country’s footballing might.

What’s In A Name? The Giovanni In Gio Reyna

Names in and of themselves are not all that interesting. It’s the meaning behind a name, bestowed upon a child at birth, that makes it special. When Giovanni Alejandro Reyna was born in Sunderland, England, to a pair of U.S. soccer players in 2002, the future Borussia Dortmund star was given a name that proved prophetic for his footballing prowess.

From Stateside To Spain: A Complete List Of Every American To Have Played In El Clásico

El Clásico might be the most storied rivalry in all of soccer. It dates back to 1902, and since then there have been 244 competitive meetings between Real Madrid and Barcelona, with each team claiming 96 wins.

In recent years, the rivalry has expanded to other continents with the first El Clásico played on American soil taking place in Miami in 2017 during the International Champions Cup exhibition competition.

The 42 Most Expensive Transfer Fees Ever Paid For American Soccer Players

It was only a matter of time before Christian Pulisic became one of the most expensive American soccer players of all time. Josh Sargent, Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Boyd And Other Americans Find The Net On Sunday

When Fulhamerica beats Liverpool at Anfield, you know that foreshadows a historic day for USMNT players in Europe. While Antonee Robinson got off the bench in that one (although Tim Ream didn’t), Sunday saw goals from a remarkable number of U.S. footballers abroad, including Josh Sargent, Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Boyd and Konrad de la Fuente.

We’ll start with Sarg in the Bundesliga. The 21-year-old striker scored Werder Bremen’s lone goal in a 1-1 draw with FC Köln. Sargent’s header was his second goal in as many games, giving him four in 22 appearances this season.

USMNT Fullback Reggie Cannon Comes From A Groundbreaking Family

Reggie Cannon is like a lot of Americans playing soccer abroad these days. He’s young (22), talented (13 USMNT caps already) and eager to help the U.S. do things it’s never done before in international men’s soccer. But unlike many (but not all) of the young Americans playing for top European clubs right now, he’s got an accomplished family helping inspire and encourage him.

Weston McKennie’s Brilliance Has Forced Juventus To Sign USMNT Midfielder Permanently

Weston McKennie’s path to become the greatest USMNT midfielder of all time took a giant leap on Wednesday when Juventus announced it’s cashing in on the American.

McKennie has been on loan from Schalke this season with the option for the Italian giants to buy the 22-year-old. After choosing to buy, the final bill for McKennie was $22 million, with his contract running until June 2025.
