Josh Sargent, Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Boyd And Other Americans Find The Net On Sunday

When Fulhamerica beats Liverpool at Anfield, you know that foreshadows a historic day for USMNT players in Europe. While Antonee Robinson got off the bench in that one (although Tim Ream didn’t), Sunday saw goals from a remarkable number of U.S. footballers abroad, including Josh Sargent, Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Boyd and Konrad de la Fuente.

We’ll start with Sarg in the Bundesliga. The 21-year-old striker scored Werder Bremen’s lone goal in a 1-1 draw with FC Köln. Sargent’s header was his second goal in as many games, giving him four in 22 appearances this season.

Over in Turkey’s Süper Lig, Boyd scored his first goal for Sivasspor since joining on loan from Beşiktaş. He now has two goals in 10 league appearances this season.

Now to the Austrian Bundesliga, where St. Pölten opened the scoring against Aaronson’s RB Salzburg through 19-year-old American and Bayern Munich loanee Taylor Booth.

The 20-year-old Aaronson would respond with an assist and his third goal for Salzburg.

Is that it? Nope. 22-year-old American midfielder Luca de la Torre scored a 92nd-minute game-winner for Heracles against PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie.

And 19-year-old winger Konrad de la Fuente scored for Barcelona B.

All this to go along with Daryl Dike’s match-winner for Barnsley yesterday. This one should come with a disclaimer for violence.

All we need now is Christian Pulisic to come alive when Chelsea hosts Everton on Monday and we'll be ready for Jamaica and Northern Ireland at the end of the month.
