U.S. U-17 squad sets Concacaf record with 22-0 beatdown of U.S. Virgin Islands

The United States U-17 squad set a ridiculous record of 22 goals scored in a single match against the U.S. Virgin Islands in a 22-0 victory on Monday in Concacaf U-17 men's World Cup qualifiers.

The American youngsters had already broke the record for most goals in an Concacaf tournament (youth or senior) in the first half with 14 GOALS. Columbus Crew 2 forward Chase Adams scored seven of the 10 first half goals.

Adams’ first half goals came in the eighth, ninth, 13th, 19th, 31st, 33rd and 38th minutes to pour on the misery.

Adams added three more in the second half.

USA 22-0 vs. U.S. Virgin Islands highlights

As most of America saw on Sunday the defending Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs only managed to score 22 points in their devastating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. A U.S. soccer team matching their score is quite frankly unthinkable, however the USYNT U-17 men’s team found a way.

Concacaf posted some of the 22 goals from the Monday night massacre.

The USYNT’s U-17 World Cup qualifiers standings looked quite lopsided after the beatdown.

If we’ve learned anything from this match, perhaps a 15-0 mercy rule limit should be implemented.
