Milan Edges Toward Title After Theo Hernández Recreates Maradona's ‘Goal Of The Century’

History will show that it was Rafael Leão's 56th-minute match-winner on the penultimate matchday of Serie A play that kept AC Milan on course for its first Scudetto since 2011, but years down the road, the lasting memory of the Rossoneri's vital 2-0 victory over Atalanta will certainly be Theo Hernández's own personal recreation of Diego Maradona's "Goal of the Century" in the 75th-minute.

Atalanta had threatened through Luis Muriel, Davide Zappacosta and came extremely close to pulling one back through Duván Zapata in the 86th, so Hernández's outrageous solo goal was a huge moment for Milan.

Sit back and enjoy the defender's 100-yard run past four defenders before finishing beyond Juan Musso.

Leão's 11th of the season wasn't bad either. What a force he's been this campaign.

The win opened up a five-point gap at the top ahead of Inter's match against Cagliari later in the day. Inter has to win or the title belongs to Milan.

If Inter takes care of business, Milan just needs an away win or draw against Sassuolo next Sunday to claim the title. Inter hosts Sampdoria at the San Siro that same day.
