Brazilian defensive midfielder scores ridiculous 25-yard piss-missile bicycle kick game-winner

Brazilian defensive midfielder Guilherme Madruga scored a spectacular bicycle kick from distance in the second tier of Brazil on Tuesday to secure a 1-0 win for his club Botafogo-SP.

Madruga had yet to score a goal for the club this season, but on his 28th appearance he unleashed a Puskás-worthy strike.

Guilherme Madruga goal

Central defensive midfielders (CDMs) have this knack for scoring some of the most ridiculous goals. FIFA players can agree that for some reason the CDMs only know how to score long-distance screamers.

Madruga’s goal stunned the home crowd of Novorizontino and proved to be enough for the three points. Novorizontino were on a seven-game winning streak until Madruga’s bicycle kick ended the run.

A hashtag has already been started to try and nominate the 22-year-old for the Puskás award.
