AEK Athens fans celebrate Super League title with insane display of pyrotechnics

AEK Athens secured their first Super League Greece title since 2018 by beating Volos 4-0 on Sunday at OPAP Arena, and supporters celebrated beating Panathinaikos and Olympiacos to the crown by nearly burning their own stadium to the ground.

This is a scene you'd never get in MLS since "fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices and pyrotechnics" are strictly prohibited. We're softer than Charmin over here.

The Super League, however, clearly doesn't have a Fan Code of Conduct.

An AEK triumph was also a triumph for Concacaf — the team relied heavily on Mexico international Orbelín Pineda in midfield and Trinidad and Tobago forward Judah García up top. The side was also coached by former Chivas/San Jose Earthquakes manager Matías Almeyda.
