Meet Christian Pulisic's Two Newest Teammates As Chelsea Builds An Ultimate Team

Chelsea might have to resort to making nametags for its players as the club continues its ridiculous summer signing spree.

Christian Pulisic could be one of the few names sticking around in the Blues starting lineup after an incredulous influx of talent. On Monday it was reported that Brazilian defender Thiago Silva and Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz are ready to join the Chelsea ranks.

Silva and Havertz are the third and fourth big-name signings for the London club so far. Back in February Chelsea signed Ajax star Hakim Ziyech for the 2020-21 season. Several months later, in June, the next transfer bomb was dropped as Chelsea snagged RB Leipzig’s record goal scorer Timo Werner.

The party isn’t expected to end with Silva and Havertz. The Blues are also expected to sign Leicester City defender Ben Chillwell. It’s also been speculated that Chelsea will sign a goalkeeper, as manager Frank Lampard benched Kepa Arrizabalaga, the world’s most expensive keeper, after an abysmal season.

Lampard will hope that the addition of veteran defender Silva will help clean up in defense for his side. Chelsea conceded 54 goals in the Premier League last season, which was worse than any other team that finished in the top 10. The 54 mark is the most goals allowed in a Premier League season by a Chelsea team since the 1996-97 season.

In attack, the Blues could pose as one of the most dangerous in Europe. Pulisic could definitely do with some nametags as he could see an entirely different set of players joining him up front. His usual starting acquaintances from last season were Willian, Mason Mount, Olivier Giroud and others, but next season’s starting 11 could look like this.

Christian Pulisic will be surrounded by star power for next season.

With all of this new talent, Chelsea might just finish third in the EPL and make it to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
