Erling Haaland's perfect time-wasting earns Manchester City four corner kicks in one minute

Manchester City sealed an important home victory against fifth-placed Newcastle United in yet another matchday of the Premier League. A pair of Phil Foden and Bernando Silva goals – both worthy of replays – sealed the three points for the Citizens.

Like Foden and Silva, yet dissimilar to his usual goalscoring impact for the Sky Blues, Erling Haaland contributed to the win but in a more humorous way. He helped City keep a clean sheet with a time-wasting strategy execution for the ages.

Need to time-waste next to the corner flag? Call Erling.

Manchester City were granted a corner kick as the game went through added time and with no intention of actually creating a goal-scoring opportunity from the set-piece, Jack Grealish called Haaland over to help him shave off some of the game's closing minutes next the corner flag. And boy did he choose the right player to do so.

In a matter of about 55 seconds, the Citizens took four corner-kicks and all thanks to Haaland’s outrageous technique to deflect the ball onto the Newcastle defenders.

He is quite the character.

The No. 9’s time-wasting efforts also helped Ederson reach 100 clean sheets in 208 games for the Sky Blues, becoming the third faster goalkeeper to do so.

What can't Erling do?!
