Flores declaró esta semana que su deseo por representar al Tri es mayor que el que tiene por Canadá, país donde nació y país de origen de su madre. Sin embargo, mencionó una condición que no le hizo mucha gracia al entrenador del combinado nacional, Gerardo Martino.

Aprovechando su presencia en la escuadra mexicana – que este miércoles 27 de abril enfrentará a Guatemala en un partido amistoso –, Flores habló con la cadena TUDN.

Gerardo Martino announced the Mexican squad facing Guatemala in a friendly game this Wednesday, April 27. Since the match is not during a FIFA international break, the roster is heavily reliant on Liga MX but also packs a couple of surprises. The most interesting of all? The inclusion of 18-year-old and Real Sociedad B defender Jonathan Gómez, who last December made his debut in the USMNT. 

The biggest event on the USWNT’s calendar in 2022 is the Concacaf W Championship in July, which serves as qualifying for the 2023 Women’s World Cup and 2024 Olympics. To prepare for the tournament in Monterrey, Mexico, the U.S. women are heading for the mountains.
