Most USMNT fans fondly remember the Snow Clasico of 2013, but how many fans remember the USWNT’s first-ever snow game, in which Alex Morgan made her national team debut?

Almost three years before the men’s national team beat Costa Rica 1-0 in a ridiculously snowy World Cup qualifier in Colorado, the USWNT played Mexico in a friendly in front of 3,732 fans on March 31, 2010, at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah. 

Two days before Christmas, Heather O’Reilly announced via social media that she will be expecting a baby boy in June.

The 2019 NWSL Best XI was released Thursday and boy is it a mess. Not even USWNT stars — some of whom were chosen on the team — could figure out how certain players were on it and others left off.

None of it is doing the NWSL any favors as it tries to build on the success of the 2019 Women’s World Cup and remain among the world’s best leagues amidst growing pressure from top European clubs.

The Orlando Pride will be without star forward Alex Morgan for the remainder of the NWSL season. The Pride are currently in last place with only 14 points from 21 games and an overall record of four wins, two draws and 15 defeats.
