After two years at Nippert Stadium, FC Cincinnati will open its own soccer-specific venue this season. West End Stadium is a sparkling $250 million arena that looks just as good on the outside as it does on the inside.

West End Stadium will officially open for FC Cinci’s home opener on May 16. Until then, the club released a video of the stadium’s façade lighting, a stunning display of LEDs on each fin on the arena’s exterior.

In a remake of Gatorade’s iconic 1997 commercial that pitted Michael Jordan against Mia Hamm, USWNT legend Abby Wambach challenges eight-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt in the new Gatorade Zero campaign “I Can Do Better”.

This biographical film from director Letizia Lamartire is billed as “a chronicle of the 22-year career of soccer star Roberto Baggio, including his difficult debut as a player and his deep rifts with some of his coaches.”

The documentary looks back at the extraordinary period when Pelé went from a young superstar in 1958 to a national hero, amidst a radical and turbulent era in Brazilian history.

Pelé became a trailblazer in leading one of the greatest football teams of all time to victory in Mexico, and one of the only players to win three World Cup titles at the time.

All of these questions are hard to answer because most soccer fans alive today never watched Pelé play in his prime. That could change with this upcoming Netflix documentary, and the official Pelé trailer was released on Thursday.

Manchester City have helped raise spirits in the festive season by donating funds and other gifts to vulnerable families in the local community, the Premier League club said on Friday (December 18).

Players and staff members were among those that funded, wrapped and delivered over 5,000 Christmas presents to school children in East Manchester and those in the care of Manchester City Council.

The club also donated 500 three-course meals to local families in East, Central and South Manchester, and 45,000 everyday essential items to 10 charities across the city.
