His Last Game For Manchester United?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked to a move away from Manchester United ever since the end of last season and with the transfer window closing in a matter of days, there’s reason to be believe that this would have been his last game with the club.

At least that’s what Bruno Fernandes made it out to be when he scored the only goal in Manchester United’s 1-0 victory against Southhampton this Saturday.

Walking out, pointing skyward, Paulo Dybala’s return to the Allianz was clearly emotional. A cathedral that was home to many of his best moments in the black and white of Juventus was the host of his third match for rivals Roma. After a lap showing love for his old fans, and extra time greeting his former teammates, Dybala and Roma left Turin with a 1-1 draw. 

Los Angeles FC signed forward Cristian Tello from Spain on Friday, just two days after forward Brian Rodriguez was transferred to Club America in Mexico.

Tello, 31, most recently played for Spain's Real Betis, while also winning a LaLiga title with Barcelona in 2012-13. His LAFC deal through the end of this season also includes options for 2023 and 2024.

Newcastle United have signed Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad on a long-term deal, the Premier League club said on Friday, shattering their transfer record to recruit the Sweden striker.

The clubs did not disclose the fee but British media reported Newcastle paid around 59 million pounds ($70.03 million) to sign the 22-year-old.

Juventus is the Manchester United of Italian soccer; rich in history but utterly clueless when success is not on its side. After a dominant 3-0 win over Sassuolo in Match Week 1, Juventus traveled to Sampdoria on Monday and slumped back to the dreadful, sleep-inducing tactical performance fans have come to expect from Massimiliano Allegri’s side. With nine successive Serie A titles followed by two campaigns where Champions League qualification seemed a shallow silver lining, Juventus’ fall from grace has been clear to see in recent years. This summer has seen several big names depart Turin, and the Bianconeri will be hard-pressed to find adequate replacements in order to once again fight for the Scudetto.

The Premier League has spent more than any other league on transfers this summer, and even newly promoted teams like Nottingham Forest are spending away in the market.

It's been reported that Forest is now closing in on Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
