Marco Fabian Is Already Making An Impact In Germany

Marco Fabian made his Bundesliga debut Sunday in Eintracht Frankfurt's 3-2 win over Wolfsburg. The Mexican winger proved to be effective down the left side, and had a positive effect on the game, setting up Alexander Meier's winner for Frankfurt in stoppage time.

Fabian was subbed on at halftime for Haris Seferovic. He joined Frankfurt from Liga MX side Chivas earlier this month, following in the footseps of Mexico teammate Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, who, since arriving at Bayer Leverkusen from Manchester United this summer, has basically lit the world on fire, with 19 goals in 23 games.

Chicharito's success was likely a factor in Fabian getting a shot in one of the top leagues in the world, and opinion is divided as to whether he can be successful. Although there is no doubting Fabian's talent, his work ethic has come into question. ("He will drink all the beer in Germany," one Facebook commenter wrote)

He certainly didn't look like he was drinking all the beer in Germany on that run, but it's early. The real test will come once he has to play full 90s.

Time will tell if Marco Fabian can be successful in the Bundesliga, but so far he appears to have what it takes.
