Lionel Messi Returns To Training 11 Days After Fracturing Arm

It’s been 11 days since Lionel Messi broke his right arm against Sevilla during Barcelona’s 4-2 LaLiga victory, an injury that ruled the Argentine star out for three weeks.

In the days since, Barca’s celebrated a 2-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League and that resounding 5-1 El Clásico victory over Real Madrid. It’s fair to say that the club has coped well enough without the world’s best player.

Barca will be without Messi for Wednesday's Copa del Rey match against third-division side Cultural Leonesa, and the same is expected for upcoming matches against Rayo Vallecano (Nov. 3), the reverse fixture against Inter (Nov. 6) and Real Betis (Nov. 11). However, the Barcelona captain returned to training Wednesday, where he could be seen jogging, striking a few balls and heavily protecting his right arm.

This is all great news for the club and reaffirms the belief that Messi will return following November’s international break — that match is a crucial trip to the Wanda to face Atletico on Nov. 24.

Also, happy Halloween from Barcelona. Luis Suarez is scary. I’d like to see him take up acting like Eric Cantona after his playing days and get type-casted as the next great Walking Dead villain.
