The Federico Chiesa goal vs Chelsea came only 11 seconds into the second half. The sole goal in Juventus’ 1-0 group stage victory against Chelsea was missed by anyone who didn’t quite get back to their screens in time.

There were undoubtedly a handful of fans at the Allianz Stadium who were still emptying their bladders and bowels when they heard their fellow supporters erupt into delirium. Meanwhile something else was erupting in toilets around the world while the only exciting moment of the match took place.
Not counting stoppage time, I watched 89 minutes and 45 seconds of the Chelsea vs. Juventus game. Those vital 15 seconds at the beginning of the second half just so happened to be the only ones that really mattered. To say I’m bitter about the whole ordeal would be quite the understatement.
The lesson we learned here today is that chowing down on a massive breakfast burrito before a Champions League game might be a bad idea.
The one good outcome of the 89 minutes I did see was that I have a brand-new sleep remedy ready to go. Counting sheep is so out of fashion. Nowadays we just watch the first half Wednesday’s game between Chelsea and Juventus. Those first 45 minutes were like watching paint dry.
The entire game only featured two shots on target between both teams while Chelsea failed to produce a goal with its 74 percent possession. Credit is due to Juventus after making the best out of a tough situation. Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala were both out with injuries.
Chelsea pushed for an equalizer all second half but couldn’t break down the brick wall defense of Juventus.
Did Weston McKennie Play?
Yes!
Did Weston McKennie Do Anything?
Not really.
McKennie came on in the 77th minute and hardly saw much of the ball. The American is at a tough point in his young career struggling to get minutes with Juventus and recently getting kicked out of the USMNT camp after breaking Covid protocols. (He was included in the roster for next week's matches.)
McKennie has only started one game for club against Spezia Calcio on Sept. 22. After the match Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri called out McKennie for not finishing his chances.

Hopefully the upcoming World Cup qualifying window has more fortune for McKennie.
As for the Champions League, McKennie’s club now sits atop Group H after two games.
