Carles Puyol is a legend. One of the best central defenders of all time, he won 20 major trophies with Barcelona and helped Spain to their 2010 World Cup triumph. Because of his impressive resume, it makes sense that Puyol was asked to participate in the draw for the 2018 World Cup. Puyol drew groups G and H and everything went off without a hitch.
Until that evening, when a fan hit Puyol in the face with a dildo.
Really! Puyol was in a hotel lobby gladhanding fans and taking pictures with them when he crossed paths with a Russian woman who was either not a fan AT ALL or WAY TOO MUCH of a fan. The woman took out a dildo and prodded Puyol with it, presumably causing him to flee the scene. I would flee the scene if I got hit with a dildo.

So, to recap: the Russia World Cup will feature infrastructure that will almost certainly be inadequate (as we learned from the Sochi Olympics), a sports governing body that is mired in a doping scandal that threatens to bring down the whole country's sporting presence (Russia has been banned from the next Winter Olympics in South Korea) and strange women roaming around hitting soccer stars with dildos the size of wiffle bats. Should be fun!
