Pulisic, McKennie and Weah might have NFL backup careers with insane football skills

The United States men’s national team is back together for two upcoming friendlies which means fans get to see fun behind the scenes moments of the team.

A video of Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah tossing around the pigskin in Nashville is one of the highlights from their latest training camp. It’s great to see the USMNT players bonding and goofing off together.

To be fair though, there were some pretty impressive highlights.

Weah, McKennie and Pulisic playing American football

We seriously need to talk about that last catch from McKennie. That looked like prime Odell Beckham Jr. with that one-hand snag. This video will only fuel the idea people have of how good the USMNT would be if America’s best athletes played soccer.

McKennie grew up playing soccer and football in Texas at the same time and was a star in both sports. It looks like after all these years he’s still got it. Some of his football highlights feature in The18’s short documentary with McKennie.

(McKennie's football highlights come at 13:17 in the video.)

Pulisic’s skills at cornerback could use some help as Weah kept torching him. To be fair his passes as QB were solid. The Denver Broncos should reach out.

The USMNT will play Germany on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET and then face Ghana on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
