TCU redshirt freshman Emma Yolinsky scored one of the best goals you’ll see all year in any competition during her side’s 3-2 victory vs. Iowa on Thursday.
The Horned Frogs midfielder torched two defenders before launching a missile from 30 yards out with her left foot. Her shot deflected off the crossbar and into the goal to open the scoring on the night.
Amazing Emma Yolinsky goal

What a way to score just your second-ever collegiate goal. That’s a finish of the highest level right there.
The Puskás award is presented by FIFA for the “most aesthetically significant, or most beautiful, goal of the calendar year." In the past both men and women could be nominated for the award, but starting in 2024 the two have been separated.
FIFA now gives out the “Marta Award” for the best goal scored by a woman in the calendar year. The new award was given out for the first time in 2024 and was fittingly won by Brazilian legend Marta.
No goal from NCAA soccer has ever been nominated for the Puskás or the Marta Award. Theoretically it’s possible for a college athlete to win as the eligibility is based on the quality of the goal itself, regardless of the competition level.
Yolinsky’s sensational highlight is surely worthy of a nomination. As for winning the 2025 award, she'll have some incredibly stiff competition with Liz Ovalle’s unbelievable backheel goal from March.
La locura de gol de @lizbethovalle7.
