Atlas And Chivas Fans Turned A Friendly Into Wrestlemania In Chicago

Current Mexican champion Atlas defeated its nemesis Chivas 1-0 in a preseason friendly on Saturday at SeatGeek Stadium in Chicago. Los Rojinegros won thanks to a goal scored by the unique and only Julian Quiñones in a game that ended up being pretty entertaining. Sadly, fans of both teams ruined the experience after provoking some undesired incidents.

Atlas and Chivas fans cause violent incidents in Chicago

Trouble started once the game was over and after a few fans tried to walk onto the pitch to greet some players. Of course, the security personnel from the stadium came to the scene, and confrontation was inevitable.

Initially, the action centered around two fans of Atlas that, after lengthy tussling, were handcuffed and taken off the field.

But that was not all.

A few minutes later, a group of Chivas fans also entered the field in full force, causing scuffles worthy of Wrestlemania. Supporters and guards were shoving each other, objects flew around and a few bodies were slammed into the ground.

Absolutely shameful behavior.

There is no official report of how many people were arrested due to the incidents, but one can hope they are not coming back to a sporting event anytime soon.
