He’s been heavily linked with Liverpool — although Chelsea, Manchester United and Inter Milan are reportedly in the fight — but RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner might’ve added a little more to his $70 million valuation following a hat-trick in Sunday’s 5-0 rout of Mainz.
With the three goals, the 24-year-old center forward brought his total to 30 across all competitions this season, including 24 in the Bundesliga. Only Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski has scored more (27).

USMNT star Tyler Adams entered the match as a substitute in the 60th minute, earning his seventh Bundesliga appearance in a season that’s been largely disrupted by injury.
The win sees Leipzig climb to third in the table, seven points behind leaders Bayern. Mainz stays rooted to 15th, just four points above Dusseldorf in the relegation playoff place.
