That's a golazo: River Plate scores one of the jewels of the weekend

A new season in the Argentine First Division began this weekend and River Plate celebrated the occasion with a 2-0 victory over Central Córdoba.

Ignacio Fernández – who returned to the team after a one-year stint with Atletico Mineiro – got on the scoreboard first, while winger Pablo Solari sealed the win with one of those goals you're happy to enjoy from different angles.

And yes, you're going to see it from a few of those angles.

Pablo Solari goal vs. Central Córdoba

Solari's banger came in the 69th minute. The 21-year-old winger received a pass from Milton Casco inside the box and, with a magisterial one-touch shot, curved the ball to the far post defended by Marcos Ledesma.

Right to the place where goalkeepers' dreams die.

Visually satisfying, right?

The goal and win also inaugurated a new era at River Plate. After Marcelo Gallardo's eight-year tenure, the club's coach is now former Argentina international and Bayern Munich defender Martin Demichelis.
