Russia's Entire 2014 World Cup Team Is Under Investigation For Doping

With just a year to go until the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the Russian National Team finds itself in a bit of trouble. All 23 members of its 2014 World Cup squad are being investigated by FIFA for doping. A total of 34 Russian players are facing investigation, the Daily Mail reported.

There is no proof of doping yet, but an investigation is reportedly underway, and FIFA is not the sort of place where investigations just start on hunches. It is the sort of place where investigations are shoddy at best if they happen at all. So the Russians must have done something to anger FIFA, probably withholding some kind of compensation related to the 2018 World Cup that FIFA feels it is owed. But that's all speculation on my part

If the Russians did take performance-enhancing drugs for the 2014 World Cup, they should ask their dealers for their money back, because their performance was not enhanced at all. Russia did not win a single match in Brazil and were eliminated after the group stage.
