Evidently Joe Cole wasn't getting enough game time at Aston Villa because of injuries and being old, so he signed a 35-day loan deal with League 1 side Coventry City. He, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard were supposed to form the midfield for a golden England generation. In 2010 Steven Gerrard said Joe Cole could be better then Messi. And now Joe Cole is going to Coventry City.
Also, Joe Cole starred in this sweet video. He probably had more pure on-the-ball skill than any other English player of his era. He's going to Coventry City. What is life.
