Any stereotypes about women that you readers may harbor should have been thrown out years ago (seriously, it's 2016), but they should especially be thrown out in light of this video. On a similar note, any stereotypes you may harbor about the French — actually keep those, but forget they exist for like a minute.
Women's Soccer Brawl
A few takeaways:
1. Female soccer players are better fighters than male soccer players. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a male professional soccer player throw a punch? It never happens. The most you can hope for is Diego Costa and some center back posturing and trying to act all tough with each other while their teammates hold them back and they don't offer more than token resistance to this holding-back.
2. This is the best sports fight I have seen in a long time. It's better even than most hockey fights. There's no dirty stuff here, these two are fighting like their dads are redneck Texans who taught them never to hit below the belt.
Just an excellent fight. Kudos all around.
