Watch: Christian Pulisic scores his first AC Milan goal after cleverly earning a penalty kick

Christian Pulisic scored his first goal for AC Milan on Tuesday during a friendly vs. Italian side AC Monza which finished 1-1.

Pulisic was given the start and led the line with Rafael Leão and Olivier Giroud. The USMNT star scored the only goal for Milan on the night after he did well to earn a penalty. Converting didn’t come easy as his initial attempt was saved but he pounced on the rebound.

Pulisic first AC Milan goal

Pulisic’s goal came in the 29th minute and the celebrations were short-lived as Monza tied things up three minutes later. Milan went on to win in penalties and lift the Silvio Berlusconi trophy.

Pulisic was subbed out in the 80th minute therefore he wasn’t involved in the penalty shootout.

The game between Milan and Monza is in honor of former Italian prime minister and owner of both clubs, Silvio Berlusconi. He passed away at the age of 86 on June 12, 2023. The two clubs were his favorite and from this year on they will play an annual friendly in his memory.

Technically Pulisic has already won a trophy with Milan. What a player. In the team photo with the trophy he's on the far left side with fellow American Yunus Musah.

In all seriousness though, Pulisic, Musah and the Rossoneri play their Serie A opener vs. Bologna on Monday, Aug. 21 at 2:45 p.m. ET.

U.S. fans can watch Pulisic and Musah's Serie A debut on Paramount+.
