Chelsea's Title Defense Is Not Off To A Great Start

Chelsea's title defense looked to be off to a good start, up 2-1 against Swansea at home, but looks can be deceiving. After a great ball from Jonjo Shelvey, Swansea forward Bafetimbi Gomis took a touch past Thibaut Courtois, who shoved Gomis to the ground and earned himself a red card. Gomis, of course, put the ensuing penalty right in the back of the net past Asmir Begovic, the latter in his first-ever Premier League action with Chelsea.

After the game, many were excited to hear what Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had to say about the red card. He was uncharacteristically restrained, instead opting to unleash his wrath on Chelsea's medical staff for an incident late in the game involving Eden Hazard.

"If you're a physio, you have to understand the game," said Mourinho, who is not a doctor, but who then added that he could see from the sideline that Hazard was fine.

This is not a good omen for Chelsea, as they will be without their number one keeper next week against Manchester City, and with some apparent bad blood behind the scenes. Should be fun for everyone else, though.
