A USL Championship game between Kentucky rivals Louisville City FC and Lexington SC saw a wild red card on Thursday as a player was kicked in the face during a scuffle at the corner flag.
In the 50th minute Lexington’s Forster Ajago, making his debut on loan from Real Salt Lake, was shown a direct red card for violent conduct. The Ghanaian striker got into a skirmish with Louisville City defender Aiden McFadden.
A close look toward the corner flag shows the moment that Ajago tripped over McFadden, the Louisville man then grabbed Forster's leg annd pulled at it. Forster kicked out making contact with his head.

Ajago was furious with the red card decision and demanded that VAR intervene. Unfortunately for him VAR doesn’t exist in the USL Championship.
Should McFadden also have been punished for his involvement in the incident? We'll never know.

Talk about a rough debut for the 23-year-old.
Louisville City went on to win the Kentucky Derby 2-0.
