Midfielder Comes Up With Ingenious Way To Prevent Other Team From Seeing Tactics

Senegalese midfielder Badou Ndiaye might be one of the cleverest footballers in the game. Or maybe he’s just got weird tastes.

During a Turkish Super Lig match against Gazisehir Gaziantep on Saturday, the Trabzonspor midfielder was handed a slip of paper with a change of tactics on it by teammate Filip Novak. Ndiaye had a peak, figured out what his coach wanted him to do and then faced a dilemma: What to do with the paper.

Some players just throw the paper away, but an opponent could pick it up and discover the top-secret information. He could’ve tried to hide it in his socks or shorts, but you can never be sure it won’t fall out during the run of play.

Badou Ndiaye, however, had a solution.

He ate the damn thing.

Genius.

Or weird.

Maybe both.

Perhaps that was the best way to digest the information?

Despite the commitment shown by Badou Ndiaye, who is on loan from Stoke City, he was subbed off in the 61st minute, not long after Giazantep equalized in what ended as a 1-1 draw. The result left Trabzonspor three points behind first-place Istanbul Basaksehir, albeit with a game in hand.
