A Team Of Thugs Is In First Because It Bullies Amateurs Into The Ground

I wouldn’t want anything to do with Canales 2010. Have you heard of “winning the game in the pre-game tunnel?” Well, check out how to win a game without even having to lace up:

Canales 2010 is in first place in the Divisão de Honra, a Portuguese amateur division, because so many of the teams refuse to play them. They have a reputation for carrying out violent acts like the ones depicted in the video above, and teams simply forfeit instead of enduring 90 minutes of abuse.

Some of you might say, “you know, after that first one, and maybe one or two others, all the violent incidents in this video weren’t really that bad.”

To which I say, “you are an idiot.”

They are deadbeats ruining the game that we all love. It wouldn’t matter if they just went around giving petty slaps to the face,

The fact that they can give out so many fouls without any kind of real backlash, the fact that they are “winning” games because of it, speaks to how much Canales 2010 rules the competition. It’s not a game anymore, it’s a cruel dictatorship. Everyone else has had to adapt to them. No one, not even the referee, stands up to them, and for good reason.

Canales 2010 has heavy ties to the Super Dragoes, an FC Porto supporter group that is the largest and most feared in Portugal. The Super Dragoes allegedly carryout mafia-like tactics in order to intimidate and control, and their leader, Fernando Madureira, plays on Canales 2010.

Other teams in the Divisão de Honra are trying to fight back. The president of Vila FC, the victimized team in the video above, declared that the constant pressure that Canales 2010 puts on players, referees, officials and security is why Canales is in first place, “something has to be done, this cannot continue.”

After officials from 13 Divisão de Honra clubs met to deal with reported cases of “incidents” involving Canales 2010, FC Porto decided to send 3 delegates to monitor and make disciplinary decision about the team.
