For all we know, Will Kirwaan was just another optimistic fan betting on his favorite team when he staked £5 on Leicester City. He didn’t see anything wrong with the 1000/1 odds on the Foxes being in 1st place come Christmas. And why not shoot for the moon? Isn’t that the point of all of this? Who cares if the Foxes needed a miracle run at the end of last season just to avoid finishing in the bottom three. Every team has a chance at winning the title at the beginning of the season, or at least that’s what I'm guessing Will thought that day.

Let’s take a quick moment to list all of the things that were just as likely at the beginning of the season as Leicester being in 1st right now:
1. Chelsea being threatened by relegation (LOOOOOOL)
2. Donald Trump becoming a legitimate Presidential candidate (LOOOOOO-oh my god)
3. Justin Bieber dropping an album that converts his haters (HAHAHA ok “Sorry” is actually my jam)
4. Cristiano Ronaldo going scoreless in 9 of 15 league matches this year (…f***).
