Roy Keane Has Some Trash Opinions About Brotherhood

Tomorrow brothers Paul and Florentine Pogba will meet on the pitch in the Euopa League for the second time in less than a week, Paul for Manchester United and Florentin for St. Etienne. Hopefuly they won't do something so rash as to say hi to each other like they did last Thursday, incurring the ire of Ireland and Manchester United's foremost curmudgeon, Roy Keane.

Here's what Keane said on ITV after the match:

"The boy, Pogba, he's a bit of a free spirit, a bit of a character. But I think it was a little bit over the top tonight - before the game and at half-time.

"They've spoke more tonight than I have to any of my brothers in the last five years.

"It's all a bit strange. I think when the game started they were focused on the game.

"But all this stuff before and after the game, a lot of nonsense - but that's the modern player I'm afraid."

Yes, the modern player, an emotionless footballing robot estranged from his family because the only thing that matters is WINNING. How sad. I don't mean to play armchair psychologist, but methinks Roy Keane has some family issues he should probably work through.

(Actually I have a psychology degree and there's nothing I like more than playing armchair psychologist. I hate myself for it, but God, it's fun. Bit like drinking in that regard)

Roy doesn't just have bad takes on brotherhood. His fatherhood takes are just as trash, as we found out in 2015 when Ireland captain Robbie Keane (no relation) became a father. From The Telegraph:

When asked whether he expected Ireland's all-time leading goalscorer to be avialable for selection following the birth of his child, Roy Keane replied: "Why not? Unless he's breastfeeding".

Roy Keane: family man.
