Lionel Messi had a close call today nearly getting into a car accident leaving Inter Miami practice. A video posted by TyC Sports shows Messi in a white car running a red light and almost getting hit by cars going through the intersection.

It looks as if there was a bit of confusion with Messi and the police escort he had. Either way we’re all taking a big sigh of relief that nothing serious happened.
The people in the video posted by TyC Sports can be heard saying, “this is going to be the first fine of Messi living in the U.S.” along with several cries of “noooo!”
Messi already got a taste of life in America with his visit to the grocery store Wednesday night. Let’s not make the experience too real and have to deal with getting into an accident, exchanging insurance an all that nonsense.
Thankfully Messi is OK and will be presented as a new Inter Miami player this Sunday. It’s expected that his debut with the team will be in the Leagues Cup against Cruz Azul on July 21.
