Wycombe Wanderers Put A 46-Year-Old Keeper In Net. He Shocked Everybody

We admire Barry Richardson. We admire him for many reasons. It is not easy to become a professional goalkeeper, as Richardson did, playing his last game in 2005. It's not easy to become a professional coach either, which Richardson did, he's currently with Wycombe Wanderers.

But we really admire Barry Richardson because recently Wycombe Wanderers found themselves in need of a backup goalkeeper, and persuaded goalkeeper coach Barry Richardson, who hadn't played in more than a decade, to be the backup. And we admire Richardson because this weekend against Plymouth Wycombe's starting keeper, Alex Lynch, got hurt, and they had to insert the 46 year old into an actual match.

So how did he do?

Barry Richardson Wins At Life

HE KEPT A F*CKING CLEAN SHEET.

When we're 46 it'll be a bonus if we don't have a giant potbelly.
