Only in Concacaf…

One thing that is 100% guaranteed during an international break is that there will be some Concacaf craziness.

Both teams returned to their locker rooms while stadium crew worked to restore the lights. It took a little more than 40 minutes before the two squads could return to the field and resume play.

The delay didn’t dampen Haiti’s spirits as Les Grenadiers doubled their lead just six minutes after the restart.

Haiti added a third goal in stoppage time for an impressive 3-0 victory on the road.

Haiti have their eyes set on qualifying for their first World Cup in 52 years. Thursday’s victory puts the Caribbean nation top of their qualifying group which features Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

The team that finishes top of the group will automatically qualify for the 2026 World Cup. With three games left to play, Haiti are in a fantastic position.
