Haiti put on a literal “lights out” performance against Nicaragua in Concacaf World Cup qualifying on Thursday with a resounding 3-0 victory. The game saw a temporary suspension in the first half when the lights at the Nicaragua National Football Stadium went out.
In the 29th minute heavy rain and an electrical malfunction saw Thursday’s game go pitch-black in a matter of seconds.

Only in Concacaf…
One thing that is 100% guaranteed during an international break is that there will be some Concacaf craziness.
Both teams returned to their locker rooms while stadium crew worked to restore the lights. It took a little more than 40 minutes before the two squads could return to the field and resume play.
The delay didn’t dampen Haiti’s spirits as Les Grenadiers doubled their lead just six minutes after the restart.
