It happens, people sneak outside alcohol into sporting events. But most of the brave souls who act as the booze mule for their friends know how much they can get away with. But this guy going to a Turkish soccer match must of thought highly of himself, or extremely low of the security at the stadium, because he tried to smuggle around 24 cold ones into the match before being caught.
We don’t specialize in Turkish, but you can see the the angst rising at the beginning of the video as the smuggler is clearly nervous as he waits with his friends to gain entrance.
He then goes through the gate and doesn’t make it far before the police officer in the vest stops him. What happens next is about two minutes of security removing beer bottle after beer bottle from the fan. Based off of the shirts worn by the fans it looks like he was trying to smuggle the brewskis into a Göztepe S.K match.
It was a bold move, but being the only person there in a massive black coat while everyone else is in t-shirts does raise a little red flag.
