Ben Woodburn Scores Against Leeds, Renders Michael Owen Irrelevant

Liverpool fans were probably the only people who really cared who Ben Woodburn was before this season started, but they were very excited about him.

After the youngster scored against Leeds United in the EFL Cup Tuesday, though, the cat's out of the bag. Woodburn, at 17 years and 45 days old, broke the record held by Michael Owen (17 years and 143 days) for youngest-ever Liverpool goalscorer.

Here are the match highlights:

Woodburn's goal is the second, but we should talk about the first goal too, because the lad who sent the cross is 18-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Basically all we have to say is that was a really good ball and a 18-year-old sent it.

Both Woodburn and Alexander-Arnold have firmly established themselves on the Liverpool hype train. Hopefully Jurgen Klopp can make sure it doesn't crash.
