Midweek Major League Soccer games always tend to have a little extra flare, drama and randomness to them. Wednesday’s Philadelphia Union vs. NYCFC game was a prime example as a raccoon invaded the pitch.
The MLS raccoon video has gone viral and started a plethora of memes. The fine folks running the MLS social media accounts provided us with the uncut, full length raccoon invasion.

The name of the raccoon is still being debated by fans. The two most popular names at the moment are Raquinho and Wayne Raccooney.

The Union may have lost Wednesday’s game 2-1, however the fans at Subaru Park still had plenty to cheer for with the team’s newest furry player. The club did confirm that Raquinho was safely released after the pitch invasion.
