Thursday’s result means that Pep Guardiola’s side have won just one of their last THIRTEEN games across all competitions. It’s a poor run of form never seen from Pep’s City teams over the previous years.

One moment from Thursday’s draw that provided an accurate representation of City’s current situation was Foden clinging on to Armando Broja’s shorts for dear life.

Tottenham’s 4-3 victory vs. Manchester United in the EFL Cup on Thursday was full of bizarre moments. No instance was better than the Lisandro Martínez Son corner kick drama in the final minutes of the game.

With Spurs leading 3-2, the South Korean superstar was taking his time walking over to the corner flag for a set piece. Martínez, to the displeasure of the home crowd, went over and told Son to hurry up.

The United defender would instantly regret telling Son to get on with the corner kick as the Spurs forward then scored directly from the set piece.

U.S. men’s national team legend, Landon Donovan, made headlines in the last week after making bold comments on what he thinks Giovanni Reyna’s future move should be, suggesting the 22-year-old look for a transfer to MLS amidst continuous injuries and lack of playing time for Borussia Dortmund.

A third-tier Croatian club have ruffled the feathers of Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion due to having a VERY similar looking crest. NK Jadran Galeb compete in Croatia and adopted a familiar look for the club’s logo.

The story gets funnier. Allegedly a member of the Croatian club visited the Brighton offices in England and informed them of the similarity between the clubs. During a livestream of City’s practice on Tuesday something unthinkable happened. Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Ilkay Gundogan and Erling Haaland all missed penalty kicks in training. The worst part? There wasn’t even a goalkeeper in goal.

Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended and is now being investigated by UEFA following a video posted by The Sun showing him snorting white powder and then another clip of him making vulgar comments about former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.

The video allegedly took place in July this summer while Coote was on duty for Euro 2024 as support VAR. The 42-year-old was staying in a hotel assigned by UEFA.

José Mourinho is expected to recover after suffering a crunching tackle during a training session with Fenerbahce.

“The Special One” posted a video to Instagram of him getting taken out during a drill. Midfielder Ismail Yuksek collided with the Portuguese manager who then needed help from players to limp off the field.

In the video Mourinho can been seen wearing white long sleeves in the middle of the training exercise when he gets unintentionally tackled from behind.
