El recuerdo de Gerardo Martino al mando de la Selección Mexicana es amargo. Su fracaso en el Mundial de Catar es una herida que todavía no cierra y que el mismo Tata se encarga de echarle sal.

A casi tres meses de su salida del Tri, el DT argentino dio una entrevista al periodista Tomy Arguelles y en ella básicamente despedazó la realidad del fútbol mexicano, criticando la madurez y ambición de sus futbolistas, así como la burbuja de precios que crean los dueños. De paso le tiró flores a la MLS, donde seguramente busca un nuevo trabajo.

Le Graet, head of the French Football Federation since 2011, stepped back last month amid a legal investigation into allegations against him of sexual and moral harassment and after an audit and report commissioned by the sports ministry.

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has extended his contract until 2026, the country's FA said on Monday after he led the team to their World Cup triumph in Qatar last year.

Scaloni renewed his contract after meeting with AFA president Claudio Tapia in Paris on Monday, taking him through to the next World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

"Claudio Tapia and Lionel Scaloni met to close the extension of the contract as coach of the Senior Selection until 2026," the AFA said in a statement.

Klinsmann targets 2026 World Cup glory after returning to managerial role

Jürgen Klinsmann has been named head coach of South Korea, the country's football association said on Monday.

Former Germany coach Klinsmann replaced Paulo Bento, who stepped down following South Korea's defeat by Brazil in the World Cup last 16 in December.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) said Klinsmann had signed a contract until the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
