The 2020 SheBelieves Hero contest was developed by U.S. Soccer and supported by USWNT players to encourage girls and women of all ages to achieve their goals and make a difference in their community. Originally launched before the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the contest has helped foster a special relationship between the team and its fans. 

Believing in yourself and being a leader in your supporting community, no matter the circumstances, are key components in the selection of the SheBelieves Hero. 

Giovanni Reyna, the next American superstar, is set to make his debut in the Red, White and Blue. Gregg Berhalter confirmed that Gio Reyna will make his USMNT debut in March for friendlies against the Netherlands and Wales.

The U.S. Soccer Federation is doing everything in its power to avoid paying the U.S. women’s national team more money. Now it appears the non-profit that runs soccer in America is willing to lose whatever integrity it has left to win the lawsuit levied against it by the USWNT.

If Saturday’s rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury is half as good as their first fight, we’re in for another royal rumble. Back in December of 2018, the two undefeated heavyweights went 12 rounds in a split decision draw with Fury arguably outboxing Wilder by landing more punches, but with the Bronze Bomber twice dropping the Gypsy King to the canvas. 

It’s been nearly a year since the USWNT filed its gender equity lawsuit against the United States Soccer Federation. Eleven months into the legal battle, some of the most damning evidence against the USSF came out on Wednesday, courtesy of the USMNT players union.

The USWNT has triumphed at the 2020 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship following a 3-0 victory over Canada in the final on Sunday. After a scoreless first half, Lynn Williams, Lindsey Horan and Megan Rapinoe all got on the scoresheet to accentuate a perfect campaign for Tokyo 2020.  

Rose Lavelle always seems to have a smile on her face. But don’t let it fool you — she will absolutely destroy your soul if you come between her and a USWNT victory (or her dog, Wilma).

With top spot in Group A “up for grabs” at the 2020 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship, it took four minutes for Christen Press to effectively take it. 

Costa Rica had never beaten the USWNT, lost 6-0 in a friendly back in November and smartly decided to rest seven starters with both eyes on a crucial semifinal matchup against either Canada or Mexico, but any notion of this being an entirely worthless exercise for the viewer at home was put to bed thanks to Press’s stunning early strike.

The China women’s national football team is currently sitting in a hotel in Brisbane, Australia, under quarantine as precautions concerning the coronavirus outbreak continue. As of Monday, there are 12 confirmed cases in Australia.

The national team, consisting of 32 members, will be quarantined until Wednesday, Feb. 5. The team is scheduled to play three Olympic qualifying matches against Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Australia in Sydney this week and next week.
