Jürgen Damm, one of the fastest footballers in the world, is coming to America. The Mexican winger signed a deal to join Atlanta United after Damm’s contract with Tigres UANL expires at the end of the 2019-20 season, the Five Stripes announced Wednesday.

Real Betis became the first LaLiga club to sack a coach since the season re-started after being halted by the COVID-19 pandemic, firing Rubi who failed to win any of the team's first three matches in their return to action.

Coach Gennaro Gattuso kicked Chucky Lozano out of Napoli training on Monday, according to reports, putting into question the Mexican winger’s future in Italy.

Lozano was a breakout star with PSV Eindhoven, tallying 40 goals and 23 assists in three seasons in the Netherlands. Combined with a strong showing at the 2018 World Cup with El Tri, Chucky moved to Napoli in August for a club-record $46.5 million.

If you believe all of the Raul Jimenez transfer rumors, you’d be convinced the Mexican international is headed to Barcelona and then Real Madrid and for good measure back to England to play for Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.

Of course, these are all rumors, likely entirely baseless because what else are tabloid reporters supposed to write about at a time like this?

But Jimenez did respond to a couple of the rumors to ESPN Deportes this week. 

MLS commissioner Don Garber told ESPN that the league will explore alternative formats when it comes to completing the 2020 season. Garber said that MLS is "focused at getting in as many as games as possible" if play resumes following the coronavirus pandemic. 

Los Angeles FC forward Carlos Vela said the Major League Soccer club prevented him from joining FC Barcelona in January.

The reigning MLS Most Valuable Player made the comments in an interview with GQ Mexico magazine that was published Friday.

For Philadelphia Union fans hoping to catch their club’s second match of the season, they had to stay up until 11:00 p.m. ET on Sunday night just to make it to kick off on FS1. Despite Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Barcelona in El Clásico last weekend, everyone knew there’d be more twists to come in LaLiga, but nobody expected Real to hand control back to Barça just days later. 

There’s a lot to like about Inter Miami with Rodolfo Pizarro, Matías Pellegrini, Jorge Figal and Wil Trapp featuring in the club’s MLS debut on Sunday, but they’re obviously nowhere near last season’s Supporters’ Shield winners Los Angeles FC for the time being.
