Heather O’Reilly is backing up that smack talk she levied at Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this week.

O’Reilly, a 37-year-old World Cup winner and three-time Olympic gold medalist, came out of three years of retirement in July to join Irish champion Shelbourne to fulfill her dream of playing in the Champions League. That moment came on Thursday when she started in a Women’s Champions League qualifying match against ZNK Pomurje of Slovenia.

New season, same old media drama between Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and USMNT star Christian Pulisic. The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg has reignited the Pulisic Tuchel feud with an article stating that the German manager “does not trust Pulisic."

There’s no direct quote from Tuchel stating lack of faith in the American, but that didn’t stop the Twitter-sphere from popping off about the news.

The United States has never had a strong foothold in European soccer, much less the English Premier League. However, this year has seen a bit of shift — a revolution if you will — with Americans playing in England's first division at a tremendous rate. No team has made more waves than Leeds United.
