Having spent over 15 years in England playing professionally with Watford, Aston Villa and Manchester United, Ashley Young now sits in the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in northern Italy. Young recently took the time to share with his Twitter followers what the situation looks like and to offer helpful advice.

Hi everyone, just wanted to share my thoughts given I'm currently living in Italy, the epicentre of the virus.

Often times, when people hear the name Peter Crouch the first thing they think of is the striker's height. With a 6'7" frame, Crouch towered over defenders and made winning aerial duels look easy. But to think only of his skill as a target man is to do a disservice to a very talented player.

Having entered the game against Chelsea just four points behind their league-leading opponents, the Gunners were ripped to shreds by Jose Mourinho's side in a lopsided 6-0 defeat. Wenger could not have imagined his 1,000th match in charge of Arsenal would play out like this.

LONDON — Manchester United and Manchester City are the latest Premier League clubs to spring into action to help their communities during the coronavirus pandemic, joining forces to donate 100,000 pounds ($117,000) to support local food banks.

Responding to an initiative already run by fans of both clubs, City and United will donate 50,000 pounds each to the Trussell Trust, a support network of more than 1,200 food banks.

LONDON — England manager Gareth Southgate said he will be "prouder than ever" to lead his side into next year's European championship once the coronavirus pandemic has subsided but has called on fans to support the real heroes during the crisis.

Southgate was expecting to meet up with his squad this weekend to prepare for internationals against Italy and Denmark at Wembley, key fixtures in preparation for Euro 2020.

Cardiff City announced that former midfielder Peter Whittingham passed away at the young age of 35 on Thursday.

The club said in a statement: “First and foremost, Peter was a family man – and somebody who could light up a room with his sense of humor, warmth and personality. Then, as a professional footballer – as a Bluebird – he excelled with talent, ease, grace and humility. Nobody did it better.”
