The Most Anticipated Game In North America This Year Was Just Canceled

The best MLS All-Star Game of all time has been canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic, and the disappointment levels are at a staggering all-time high. The festivities — scheduled to take place at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles — included a return of the Skills Challenge on July 28 and match between the best of MLS and Liga MX on July 29.

MLS announced the cancellation of the event on Twitter.

The new Crew Stadium is slowly rising at the center of the Confluence Village neighborhood near downtown Columbus. The $300 million project is slated to open in time for the start of the 2021 stadium, and the latest renderings of the ground look spectacular.

MLS Mulling Playing All Games In Orlando Upon Return

With MLS players starting to return to their teams' respective training facilities, the league is considering a resumption of the season in June or July, with the possibility of all games in Orlando at the outset, the Washington Post reported.

According to the report, all initial games would be played without fans due to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the Orlando idea, a two-city plan also is a possibility.
