It was all sunshine and rainbows for PSG on the field Saturday. The reigning French champions defeated Lyon 2-0 behind goals from Serge Aurier and Edinson Cavani. Aurier in particular was a revelation at left-back.

Off the field, though, was a diferent matter for the club, who look like they might lose star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. 

"It could be that this was my last game for PSG," Zlatan said after the game. 

The summer transfer market has become clouded by news of Paul Pogba, David de Gea and Ilkay Gundogan as every club across the world vies for their signatures. But, while the deep pockets of Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich could help them land one of these superstars, it's likely that your club will come up a little short. Fear not: there are other top class players who are (lucky for you) overshadowed by the mass media feeding frenzy around the top players.

This is where defenders such as David Luiz have shown the heart and effort that all defenders play with. This past weekend Bastia French Ligue 1 defender Mathieu Peybernes made possibly the best ever goal line clearance, not once, but twice! The saves ended up deciding the game as Bastia went on to win 1-0. 

The saga for the most sought-after French player in the world is in full swing, according to a report by Goal.com.

This has been one hell of a roller-coaster week for French soccer. First, PSG got through to the quarterfinals of the Champions League in one of the craziest, most exciting matches of the year. Then Christen Press decided to embarrass the countries women’s team with this slaloming run. And now Zlatan Ibrahimovic has called the entire nation of France “s***.”

Those reporters, obviously miffed at not being allowed to do their jobs because of Zlatan's "Zlatitude" (Yes, we know, we just said "Zlatitude." We're not proud of it, OK?
